The history of video game music in Japan is filled with brilliant figures including Miki Higashino (Gradius, Suikoden), Yoko Kanno (Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Nobunaga’s Ambition), Michiru Yamane (Castlevania), and Yoko Shimomura (Kingdom Hearts, Super Mario RPG, FFXV). This panel centers on these four composers and their contributions from an expert perspective in music composition that was heavily influenced by each of these artists.
