Nakama, what’s even better than being a manga reader? Becoming a Mangaka! (Manga author) Please welcome Misako Rocks! Our latest Japanese guest who’s joining us at Naka-kon 2025.
Misako Rocks is a Japanese manga artist who’s published a number of books all over the world. She’s authored graphic novels such as Bounce Back and No Such Thing as Perfect. Bounce Back was selected to be on the list of 2021 Best Graphic Novels For Children by the American Library Association. Her newest release, How To Draw Kawaii Manga with Misako Rocks! shows bubbly and kawaii manga character/fashion making. You’ll be able to find Misako’s books at the Rainy Day Books Booth in the Vendor Hall.
Besides making books, Misako Rocks! teaches manga classes for kids and young adults through her Learn Manga with Misako class. Be sure to join her at one of her workshops throughout Naka-Kon weekend.
